In una vignetta dell'Amphitheatrum, il secentesco libro di figure alchemiche del Khunrat, si vede il Ricercatore che insegue un coniglio bianco che s'è infilato in una buca del terreno da cui si passa ai regni arcani e mistici. Per schiere di morti questo libro fu - e forse sarà per nuovi lettori ancora - un tal coniglio bianco, fecondo, fulmineo mediatore.
